Guido Brivio est un oenologue qui possède une solide formation professionnelle, acquise tant en France qu’en Amérique. Motivé par une longue tradition familiale de négociant en vins, il a l’opportunité de reprendre, à la fin des années 1980, une ancienne cave, spécialisée depuis des lustres dans la production de vins tessinois. Il a fallu beaucoup investir pour restructurer cette cave, creusée dans le roc du Monte Generoso et située dans la même région que les caves Vignoo, à Mendrisio. Des caves qui, pour la maturation et la conservation des vins, bénéficient d’une température naturelle. Et cela grâce à la présence de fissures qui se sont formées sous la masse d’anciens éboulis, et par lesquelles passe durant toute l’année un courant d’air frais de 10° à 12°C.

Guido Brivio ist Enologe und hat eine solide französische und amerikanische Berufsausbildung hinter sich. Durch eine langjährige, familiäre Tradition im Weinhandel motiviert, hatte er Ende der achtziger Jahre Gelegenheit, einen alten Weinkeller zu kaufen, der seit langer Zeit auf der Produktion von Tessiner Weinen gründete. Um die Keller, welche im Felsen des Monte Generoso, im Gebiet der Keller Vignoo in Mendrisio gehauen sind umzubauen, wurden beträchtliche Investitionen getätigt. Diese Keller weisen ein natürliches Klima für die Aufbewahrung und die Lagerung der Weine auf, dank dem Vorhandensein von Entlüftern mit frischer natürlicher Luft, die sich unter den Massen alter Erdrutsche gebildet haben, und durch die während des ganzen Jahres ein frischer Luftzug mit einer Temperatur von 10-12°C weht.

Guido Brivio is an oenologist who received a solid professional training in France and America. Coming from a family with a long tradition in the wine trade, at the end of the eighties he had the opportunity to take over an old winery that had been specialised for some time in the production of the local wines of Ticino. Significant investments were made to renovate the cellars that are excavated directly in the rock of Monte Generoso, in the area of the Vignoo wine cellars, in Mendrisio. Due to the presence of natural fresh air vents formed under the rocks of old landslides, which create a draught of fresh air at a temperature of 10° - 12° C all year long, these cellars have a natural micro-climate that is particularly suitable for the preservation and aging of wines.
