Celui-ci, enthousiasmé par l’idée de produire des vins tessinois, décide alors en 1984 d’acquérir la Roberti Foc SA de Bodio, entreprise à laquelle s’adressent plusieurs viticulteurs de la région des Tre Valli (Bassa Leventina, Riviera et Blenio) dans le Sopraceneri. Le nouveau directeur commence par agrandir et moderniser les structures de vinification. Il ne faut pas longtemps à cette entreprise, dorénavant réputée pour ses vins de qualité, pour prendre la tête de la production vinicole tessinoise. Et c’est également grâce à la collaboration des toujours plus nombreux viticulteurs de la région, que la quantité de raisin vinifié est passée de 30’000 kg à 400’000 kg. Le dynamisme de la société se confirme ultérieurement en 2000, lorsque les caves du siège de Mendrisio ont été agrandies permettant une vinification de 250’000 kg de raisins supplémentaires provenant de la région du Sotto-ceneri. La Gialdi Vini SA s’est transformée en une entreprise de production, dont le souhait est d’offrir des vins représentant pleinement la typologie du terroir tessinois, tout en poursuivant son activité d’importation de vins italiens. Tous les vins sont en vente auprès du siège à Mendrisio, tout comme à la succursale de Bodio. Die Kellerei Gialdi Vini SA wurde 1953 von Guglielmo Gialdi, Vater des jetzigen Direktor Feliciano, in Mendrisio gegründet. Die Tätigkeit des Unternehmens war anfänglich auf den Weinimport ausgerichtet. In den nachfolgenden Jahren übernahm das Unternehmen andere Weinbetriebe und erlebte in kurzer Zeit eine bemerkenswerte Entwicklung. Guglielmo überliess die Geschäftsleitung 1980 seinem Sohn, der im Bestreben selbst Tessiner Wein herzustellen im Jahre 1984 die Firma Roberti Foc SA in Bodio übernahm. Dieser Betrieb bearbeitete die Trauben von etlichen Weinbauern der Region Tre Valli (Bassa Leventina, Riviera und Blenio) im Sopraceneri. Dank Investitionen und mit viel Einsatz wurden die Kellereiräumlichkeiten erweitert und die Kelterungsanlagen modernisiert. Schon nach kurzer Zeit wurde der Betrieb wegen seiner Qualitätsweine bekannt und festigte in den darauf folgenden Jahren die Position an der Spitze der Tessiner Weinproduktion. Infolge der Zusammenarbeit mit immer zahlreicheren Winzern der Region, stieg die Menge der zu Wein verarbeiteten Trauben von anfänglich 30’000 kg auf 400’000 kg an. Das dynamische Unternehmen bestätigte seinen Ruf im Jahr 2000, als die Kellereien des Firmensitzes in Mendrisio erweitert wurden, so dass nun zusätzlich 250’000 kg Trauben aus der Region Sottoceneri verarbeitet werden können. Obschon die Gialdi Vini SA weiterhin Weine aus Italien importiert, gilt ihr Hauptinteresse der Produktion von eigenständigen Weinen, die die Vielfalt des Tessiner Bodens zum Ausdruck bringen sollen. Sämtliche Weine können sowohl in Mendrisio als auch in Bodio gekauft werden. Gialdi Vini SA was founded in Mendrisio, Switzerland in 1953 by Guglielmo Gialdi, the father of the present executive director Feliciano. The company initially devoted its efforts to the wine import business. In the course of the following years the company was able to develop rapidly through the acquisition of several other wine merchants and importers. Guglielmo handed over direction of operations to his son in 1980. Captivated by the idea of producing wines from his local Ticino, Feliciano acquired Roberti Foc SA of Bodio, a winery that had a working relationship with an important number of growers of the region Tre Valli (Bassa Leventina, Riviera and Blenio) in the Sopraceneri. Feliciano made major investments to expand the cellars and improve the vinification equipment. Gialdi Vini SA became a name synonymous with wines of quality and established a position at the summit of Ticino winemaking. With the collaboration of an ever-increasing number of winegrowers in the region, the initial yearly production of 30’000 kilos has increased to 400’000 kilos today. The year 2000 saw an especially strong demonstration of the winery’s commitment to growth, when the original winery in Mendrisio was enlarged in order to enable the vinification of a further 250’000 kilos of grapes from the surrounding Sottoceneri region. Gialdi Vini SA has developed into an independent winery with its own wines carefully crafted to feature the unique characteristics of the Ticino terroir, while maintaining an active interest in the importation of Italian wines. All the wines can be purchased at the winery in Mendrisio as well as in our subsidiary in Bodio.
