"Dans la Région des Trois Lacs, le littoral neuchâtelois revendique les deux-tiers de la production totale. Les vignobles s'étendent le long du lac, de Vaumarcus au sud, en passant par Auvernier, jusqu'à Neuchâtel et Cressier au nord.
Les autres vins de la région (issus pour la plupart des cépages Chasselas et Pinot Noir) proviennent des vignobles bordant les lacs de Bienne (dans le canton de Berne) et de Morat, dans le Vully fribourgeois comme vaudois.
Un des seul cépage rouge autorisé dans les cantons de Neuchâtel et de Berne est le Pinot Noir qui produit d'excellents vins rouges ainsi que le fameux Œil-de-Perdrix, un vin rosé fin et fruité créé à Neuchâtel.
Les plus connus des vins blancs de Neuchâtel sont les vifs Chasselas. Mais la région nous offre aussi d'élégantes spécialités, quelques vins mousseux et des Chardonnays récompensés plus d'une fois par des prix."
La région des Trois Lacs, située sur les contreforts du Jura, borde les lacs de Neuchâtel, de Bienne et de Morat. Elle comprend des cantons francophones comme germanophones où coexistent des cultures qui se reflètent dans la variété de ses vins: tantôt sévères, voire austères, tantôt pétillants de joie de vivre.
In der Drei-Seen-Region nimmt der Neuenburgersee etwa zwei Drittel der Gesamtproduktion ein. Die Weinberge erstrecken sich entlang dem See von Vaumarcus im Westen über Auvernier bis nach Neuenburg und Cressier im Osten.
Die übrigen Weine des Drei-Seen-Gebiets, vor allem Weine aus den Traubensorten Chasselas und Pinot Noir, werden in folgenden Regionen produziert: rund um den Bielersee im Kanton Bern sowie am Mont Vully nahe des Murtensees, den sich die Kantone Freiburg und Waadtland teilen.
Eine der wenigen zugelassenen roten Rebsorten in den Kantonen Neuenburg und Bern ist die Pinot Noir, die ausgezeichnete Rotweine und den bekannten Neuenburger Rosé, den fruchtig feinen "Œil-de-Perdrix", hervorbringt.
Die bekanntesten Weine sind die lebhaften Neuenburger Weissweine aus der Sorte Chasselas. Diese Region bietet aber auch elegante Spezialitäten, einige wenige Schaumweine sowie etliche preisgekrönte Chardonnay-Weine.
Die Drei-Seen-Region umfasst sowohl deutsch- als auch französischsprachige Kantone rund um die drei Seen der Juraregion: Neuenburgersee, Murtensee und Bielersee. Die Vielfalt der Weine dieser Region spiegelt die Mannigfaltigkeit der Lebensweisen wider: bedächtig, zuweilen streng, und doch auch voller Lebensfreude.

The Three Lakes region comprises both French-speaking and German-speaking cantons, around the lakes of Neuchâtel, Bienne and Morat, at the foot of the Jura. The variety of wines in the region reflects this mixture of cultures: serious, sometimes austere, and yet also full of the joys of life.
